I started Artists Frame Service in 1978 in what was then an abandoned factory district - Clybourn Avenue. My mission was simple: raise the bar for professional framing with more artful design, better choices and faster service. By simply staying focused on those core ideas, the company grew quickly and today is the largest custom framing company in the country.

Over four decades later, that mission continues to drive our evolution. Three locations: Lincoln Park, Highland Park and our newest store in River North. New product introductions. And, of course, more beautiful framing.

I’m excited for what’s to come but also honored to have played a part in some special moments in our customers’ lives, from graduations and weddings to treasured family heirlooms and grandchildren’s artwork.
