What piece did you frame?

I framed an oil on canvas that I bought in the French Quarter on a recent trip to New Orleans. Traveling always brings out that creative spirit!  

What do you love most about it?

Well, I vowed I wasn't going to buy any more art on this trip - but that’s easier said than done when you’re going somewhere like New Orleans. This painting really caught my eye and if something strikes you like that immediately - you should not pass it by.

The French Quarter is very appealing with a lot of art galleries and craft shops - highly recommended.

Why did you choose the framing combination you did?

These frames just had the right style for the painting and sometimes when you know, you know. Both the outer frame and the inner liner had the perfect details and color combinations that really make the painting shine.

What's your favorite part about how it turned out?

I love the light gray patina panel because it tones down the gold elements of the frame and accents the colors in the painting. Great framing can really work together like that.

Where will you display it?

It will hang above my writing desk in the dining room - an ideal spot to help strike future creative inspiration.
