Pantone 2022 Color of the Year: Perfectly Purple Very Peri
For the first time in the 22 year history of Pantone’s famous color of the year, the Pantone Institute decided to create a totally new shade for the franchise - a vibrant periwinkle blue called Very Peri.
According to the Institute, the blue with violet-red undertones was designed to evoke the glowing touchscreens of the digital world and the creative possibilities of the future.
Of course, our mind immediately went to how this energetic and fresh color can be used on custom framing projects. While purple-toned blues may not be where one first gravitates for a custom frame, it can be both sophisticated and eye-catching, as evidenced by our picks for periwinkle framing below.
