Framing In The Holiday Spirit

Nothing gets us in the holiday spirit quite like a festive frame. And while we’re generally a fan of color and sparkles all year round, something about the holiday season has us craving framing projects with that extra something special. Below, explore a few of our favorite frame lines, finishes and styles for festive framing that’s sure to make your holidays at home a little brighter.

A Jewel-Tone Red

As Shakespeare says, all the world’s a stage - and if so, then let’s make it a Cabaret, old chum. Our Cabaret frames capture the glamour and whimsy of the Moulin Rouge and classic burlesque. The original look in this line are tones of unforgettable sequin covered frames. (More on that below.) But a modern take on the classic red frame in a jewel-tone finish and smooth texture pairs well with velvet sofas, cozy pillows and luxe decorative items. It’s would be a perfect accent to complement your holiday hygge decor.

Snow White Prisma

While our Prisma frames are generally thought of for their bold colors and creative patterns, we’re struck by this plain white sanded acrylic version that’s reminiscent of falling white snow. Paired with graphic art, it’s modern and bold while still feeling warm and welcoming.

Showstopping Sequins

Sequins have been popping up in home décor, fashion and accessories. So isn't it time for frames to join the party? This is the party version of the Cabaret line of frames - the sequins come in black, midnight blue, lime and rose pink on one side and all silver on the other. Smooth them down to show only one color or ruffle them for a textural two-tone look. (The technical term for this is "to tsjuz".) Use Cabaret for magnificent mirrors, on anything shiny or any art that is worth celebrating.

Metallic Shadow Box

If you’re in a metallic mood but sequins feel a little bold, a subtle metallic frame (this one is on a shadow box framing a label and cork from a special evening - perfectly festive) is the way to go. From simple and slim to baroque and ornate, no one has a gold frame selection quite like us to make any piece of art feel extra rich.

In the festive framing mood yourself now? Our locations are open in Lincoln Park, Highland Park and River North, socially-distanced with tons of plexi of course, or we’re happy to work with you virtually to frame your project and drop it off to you, contact free.
