At Home: Have Something You've Been Meaning To Frame?

We have a saying around our office - we know you have something you’ve been meaning to frame. How do we know that? Over 40 years of first-hand experience and observation has led us to believe that whether it’s a piece you just obtained or something that’s been sitting around your home for years - most people have some sort of framing or art project in their minds.

Just think about it. Vacation photos. Travel mementos. Diplomas or marathon medals. Or, simply the desire to take a blank wall or shelf in your space and transform it into something beautiful. The options are endless.

Maybe you’re having an “a-ha” moment right now thinking of those things you’d like to frame. But, if you’re looking for some inspiration and ideas, we’re sharing below a few unique recent customer projects to get your creative juices flowing.

Fill that wall.

Sometimes it starts with a space or a wall as opposed to any particular item. This example of a diamond shaped framed abstract art piece from @mbhomestlying is truly a show-stopper in an otherwise muted and very sophisticated palette of a room. Not to mention, it’s the perfect example of the beauty of custom pieces. If you can dream it, the odds are with our vast selection and expert consultants - we can create it!

Frame your travels.

Sometimes items you collect or take on your travels are no-brainer framers - like gorgeous destination photos for example. But what about more non-traditional items like textiles, objects and vintage pieces? Those can often be easily framed as well - like this example of vintage textiles picked up on a customer’s recent trip to Mexico. She chose to place the colorful, original pieces in ornate gold frames in her powder room - a perfect spot to experiment with a bolder look.

Collect, frame, repeat.

Nothing catches our eye like a wall full of framed pieces of similar styles - such as this example from Michael Abrams Interiors highlighting oil portraits that have clearly been collected with care. In the absence of physical flea markets and antique fairs, we’ve taken to sites such as Etsy and Everything But The House to peruse both vintage and new works.

Photos, photos and more photos.

Whether from a professional shoot, like the example above from our friends at Classic Kids, or simply photos taken on your iPhone, framed photos are amongst the easiest and most personal ways to enhance the vibe of your home. Beyond custom framing, our gallery frames, gallery wall packages and Kinda Custom service are ideal solutions to frame as little or as many photos as your space allows.

So, what’s that thing that you’ve been meaning to frame? Stay tuned here for special offers and announcements regarding the reopening of our three Chicagoland showrooms, where we hope you’ll come show us what’s been adding up on your framing to-do list. If you want to get started on the dreaming or design process now, we’re around for a virtual framing session. Just drop us a line at sales@artistsframe.com. Happy framing!
