Affordable Custom Framing: A Kinda Custom Experience For $140
We believe that just because a piece is a standard size, that doesn't mean it deserves the standard treatment. Those prints, photos, treasured items you pick up at the local art fair? They deserve just as much love in our book as fine art. That's where our brand new Kinda Custom Framing comes in - it blends the affordability and accessibility of ready-made gallery frames with a custom experience.
So what's it all about and (more importantly) what does it cost? Read on for an inside look at our Kinda Custom experience.
We had two pieces that needed some love discovered on a recent trip to Nashville - both an 11x14 standard size and waiting to be framed!
The wide assortment of gallery frames was calling our name - prices start at $37 and come in nine different finishes. We selected a slim silver 11x14 frame for $54 and a more substantial oak veneer 16x20 frame for $81.
Because this particular piece was so simple in design, we knew we wanted to add a bold mat and make it a bit larger to really emphasize the quote - and somehow we knew it would work out! While playing around with the matting, we sourced a few custom options as well to explore - but ultimately that would have taken the price up closer to $300 so decided to stick with the gallery frame.
From there, both our pieces were professionally fitted and cleaned by the experts right on the spot!
One of the other benefits of the gallery frames is how easily they come ready to hang - we call it DIFY, do it for yourself! But of course, if you have a complicated spot or install (or are looking to build a gallery wall) we're happy to deliver and install as well.
Voila! The finished beauties. The final price tag? $140 to customize the piece on the left, while we walked out with the piece on the right for just the $54 cost of the frame.
